A new arbor

Lane tells me that our blog is not a one time thing. That the first posting must be followed by other postings of interesting stuff. What have I gotten myself into?

So OK, here is a picture of the arbor I made for Mary Jane. She has been talking about one for years to separate the area of the patio from the garden part of the yard. Not bad for a derilect eh?
Mary Jane has put in her order for one (or two) at the farm! If Plan Check Express doesn't go maybe I can just build these and sell them on the road side.
This blogging will require an ongoing list of experiences and accomplishments to report on. I may have to change my dreary, ordinary life into a blog-life. I'll be traveling, building and picture taking to no end! If no pictures appear to substantiate some fantastic adventure you'll know I have just made it up just to satisfy the blog readers.

Our Trip to the "Farm"

looking from one garden to the next, from the side yard out to the front, from the front porch to the RV carport, from that front drive out through the "park".

Along the line between the acre and the 2acres,
out through the park

The park and one of the outbuildings

the deck off of the kitchen knook and the side yard again

a view of the house from in front of the garage and a look down the fence along the 10 acre parcel next door

The 2 car garage and a look back into the acre from the dog run

Inside one of the sheds and a part of the craft room in the shop building

From the living room into the kitchen past the guest bedroom.

From the side of the house into the back yard

Again from the front porch up the driveway to the gate at Deer Haven Court

From the front door into the living room

Mom and I went up to Paradise this weekend to visit Grandma Chaney and get another tour of the new place. We met Mrs. Betz and asked her all kinds of questions about the sprinkler system, fruit trees, mail, internet, TV, flowers etc. Grandma Chaney came with Sherman and Alicia. We found out more stuff about the place.

All but one of the outbuildings are insulated and sheetrocked.
The house is all insulated, walls and ceiling.
She is leaving a nice Sears lawn tractor and the appliances.
Everything is irrigated with automatic valves, bubblers, drippers on timers.
The single car garage is bigger than the double car garage.
There is 1400 feet of fence we don't have to buy/install.
The wood shed is 1/2 full of wood.
There is water and power at the RV storage building.
The garage and shop have about 35 double cabinets all around the walls.
The swamp cooler will cool the house in the summer. There is also AC and a furnace
There are hose bibs piped to all over the property.
There is a 10x12 shed with a chain-link dog run on the side that wasn't on the appraisal.
It really is almost level.
The whole place is pretty much "turn key".
I will try to post some pictures next.
